Who We Are

Brickguess is operated by KroWVeBricks, a BrickLink store run by Krovich LLC out of West Virginia. We opened in June 2025 and have processed 242 BrickLink transactions to date with 95.71% positive feedback across 81 ratings. Our inventory leans toward minifigures, retail-arbitrage sets, and weight-priced bulk parts, with deeper rotation in Star Wars and Ninjago than other themes.

We built Brickguess because we wanted the same fast, accurate identification + pricing tool we use internally to be available for free to anyone evaluating a LEGO lot — at a garage sale, a thrift store, or staring at a marketplace listing wondering whether the figures in the photo are worth what's being asked.

How It Works

Brickguess runs a two-stage AI pipeline. Stage one: a Grounding-DINO open-vocabulary detector finds every minifigure in your photo and crops it out, even when there are dozens of figs mixed with random LEGO pieces. Stage two: each crop is run through Brickognize and matched against the BrickLink catalog. We then look up recent sold prices via the BrickLink API and present everything in a results page.

Why We Built It

The LEGO secondary market is huge but fragmented. Pricing data is hard to access on mobile, identification is slow without a catalog open in another tab, and bulk lot evaluation typically requires manually looking up each figure. Resellers were doing this in spreadsheets at garage sales, parents were paying too much for "vintage" lots that were actually $4 of common figures, and collectors were missing real finds because they couldn't identify a fig fast enough to bid. Brickguess closes all three gaps.

What We Don't Do

Brickguess is intentionally simple. There are no user accounts, no subscriptions, no premium tier, and no upsells. We don't keep the original full-resolution lot photo, we don't link your scans to your identity, and we don't resell your data. The service is funded by advertising, which keeps it free and open.

What Your Scans Help Build

After each scan, the individual fig crops our detector produces are saved to our anonymous training set, grouped by fig ID. We use them to retrain the identification model so it gets better over time — especially on rare and recently released figures where reference photos are scarce. Crops are not linked to your IP, session, or any identifier; they sit in per-fig folders alongside thousands of other community scans. This is how a free tool keeps improving without an account system or paid tier.

Community Contributions

When you upload a high-value LEGO lot and consent to share it publicly, Brickguess may show your scan as the "Just Identified" hero on the homepage and count the figs toward our anonymous scan-frequency rankings on the Top Figs page. None of it is linked back to you personally.
